Fairytale Gatekeeper

In mythology deer are considered to symbolize a connection to the supernatural world, or fairytale realm. I haven’t been that lucky when it comes to does. To me, old does are the most stubborn and cautious creatures to ever exist. Constantly on edge, just waiting to blow to signal to every other deer in the surrounding area to be on high alert, as an intruder has entered their land. Old does are intelligent and they will be the first to bust you in a tree stand. I wish they would actually open the doorways to a fairytale realm, rather than busting me and ruining my chances to tag them.
